Baked Sweet Potato

Ingredients

  • sweet potato
  • salt & pepper (optional)

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 410°F.
  • Prepare a sheet pan with non-stick aluminum foil.
  • Wash each sweet potato by scrubbing and rising under water.
  • Use a fork to make small holes in the sweet potatoes. This allows steam to escape during the baking process and prevents them from exploding.
  • Bake in the oven for about 60 – 75 minutes.
  • Test to see if they are done by poking with a fork. The texture should be soft. At this point, you can bake more to get caramelization.

Note: Baking times may vary based on size of sweet potatoes. Use personal judgment.
